A Slotted Door Covers The Entry And Allows Air, But Not Animals, Into This Space. Air From The Passageway Circulates And Escapes Through The Wooden Ventilators On The Roof. Built As A Combination Bunkhouse And Summer Kitchen, And Constructed In The Traditional Fashion Of The Kolomya Hill District In The Ukraine. It Has A Cedar Shake Roof With No Chimney. The Log House With Saddle And Notch Cornering And An Exterior , Plastered With A Mix Of Clay, Chopped Straw And Animal Dung, Has Lime And Laundry Blueing Added To The Final Coat To Give Brilliance. At The Far Right Is A Flower Bed Fenced With Peeled Saplings. In Traditional Ukrainian Style. The House Has Handmade Doors That Are Low And Wide. Vertical Boards Line The Gable Ends Of The Roof. The Focal Point Of The Kitchen Is One Of The Earliest Iron Cookstove Models. Polished And Maintained In Pristine Condition, It Has Oven Doors Which Are Hinged At The Side.
